THE ANNUAL PAYMENT OF THE DISTRICT FIRE TAX IS DUE AND PAYABLE ON JULY 1, 2025.
Said tax is based on the assessed value of real and personal property in this District at a rate of 1.23 mills on dollar assessments as of October 1, 2024 as recorded in the Grand List of the Town of Trumbull.
If payment is not made by AUGUST 1, 2025, it will become delinquent and is subject to interest at a rate of 1½% per month from the due date in addition to a tax lien of $24.00. The minimum interest charge is $2.00. Returned checks are subject to a charge of $34. Failure to receive your tax bill does not exempt you from payment of tax or penalty.
For safety and security reasons, there will be no drop off or in person payment of fire taxes. Taxes may be paid by mail or through our online system. When mailing, the postmark will be used to determine if a payment was made on time. No cash will be accepted through the mail. Checks that are made out incorrectly or are not signed will be returned. Payments may be made online by following the Pay Taxes link at TCFD.com (a fee will apply for this service).

DELINQUENT BALANCES/INTENT TO LIEN NOTICE
A lien may be placed on the Trumbull Land Records against property if delinquent balances are not paid in full by February 28, 2025. A $24 lien fee will apply and will be added to the outstanding balance.
Please note that this notice may cover more than one list year. Homeowners may view their account, print statements, or pay their bill online at TCFD.com.
If mailing payment, a copy of the delinquent bill must be included. Make checks payable to: TRUMBULL CENTER FIRE DISTRICT and mail to the address on the bill. Only one bill will be sent. Your check is your receipt. You may contact our office at TCFD01@tcfd.com, if you need further information.
